A Day in American Life

First, greetings from Las Vegas, the NAB. The city had record-setting rain yesterday .010 of an inch. HD Radio is the talk of show, for real!

But all is over-shadowed by the shocking killing of 32 students and professors at Virginia Tech yesterday by a 23-year-old Korean student.

Observations:
  • watching a movie about a professional killer who is a good guy, with lots of violent shoot outs, including one in a high school, seems irreverent and wrong in the face of reality. We trivialize gun play so much in this country. Another campus mass murder said, that, at 16, he didn't understand that if you get shot, you didn't stand back up, like the characters do in a video game.
  • The shooter was a legal alien from South Korea.
  • The best video of the scene, so far, was taken by a Palestinian student.
  • Virginia is the second easiest state to by a gun or guns, or whatever basically.
