Helping the Chinese in Sichuan

The following is an email that was sent to me by a colleague in Shenzhen, China.

Dear Colleagues,

The devastating "5.12" earthquake in Wenchuan, Sichuan has claimed over 40,000 lives ... leaving 5 million homeless ... We're in a three-day national mourning for those victims from May 19 to 21.

I wanted to contact you to let you know that, if you, or any of your friends who are willing to donate or help, you could do this through the redcross (http://www.redcross.org.cn/) or your local Chinese consulate/embassy (http://www.china-embassy.org/chn/). If you need my personal assistance, please feel free to contact me.

I thank you for your kindness!

Scott
