Summit Details
So, I'm at the mHealth Summit at the National Harbor Convention Center.
See my other blogs for the real news; I'm still processing the real content and there's lot to process. Aside from looking for clients/contacts (or a job), I'm thinking about whether my mother would use any of this new health tech: gizmos or web-based, smart-phone support. So far, the answer is NO.
So small things: getting here is a trip, in the hippy sense as well having to go half way around the beltway from Bethesda to where-the-hell-am-I National Harbor, via Virginia. Six-lane stretches of the Beltway, with left and right exits with confusing where-the-hell-am-I signs ... as I always say, "I'd like to be the universes' signage tzar".
On the beltway, you go over a draw bridge; really a draw bridge on a 4 to 6 lane highway. Almost never goes up ... but still. Plus the new toll-express way on part of the beltway ... almost no one on it. Stretches with no cars. Good. It's an elitist road.
So, I'm here in the dark, sitting watching presentation, pretty useful really. But I have to sit (not stand as I do in my office), get coffee from a Starbucks' brew machine $3.50, no barristas;and lanyard name tags. Lanyards belong at summer camp. At a convention, they're as good as no name tag since they hang at your boobs or waist with the name side turned toward your body not the other person. I'm old school: my name tag on my right lapel. Does nothing for my income search ... but it's the right way to do it.
Enough...Just saying.
