Savuer India
The food was fantastic. We had a variety of Naan and, which were warm, soft and very well flavored. We only eat vegitarian so our selecton was somewhat limited:
-- Palak Makai, Curried spinach cooked with corn kernel, was spices and had an excellent texture.
-- Malai Kafta, Cubes of cottage cheese cooked in a tomato butter gravy, which my husband loved and he makes a good Malia Kafta himself at home.
-- Subz Shahi Khorma , Diced veggies, with nuts, yogurt and butter gravy, nice but plain.
-- Baghare Baingan, Baby eggplant in sesame and peanut gravy. We ate this last and it was oddly prepared. I was full. But it had nice flavor.
-- Yellow Daal, Yellow lentils cooked with tomato and cumin, was fine.
Thank you Taste of Bethesda and good job Saveur India for coming up to Downtown to compete with all of the other restaurants here.
