Restaurant Review: Visions

We returned to Visions tonight for a lovely dinner. We are served wonderful rosemary and garlic bread that was warm and crusty. Luckily our main courses came quickly because I could have completely stuffed myself with bread.

There were three of us; we didn't order appetizers. But our main courses were three distinct dishes. I ordered the Seared Giant Scallops with Thyme Risotto, which was wonderful (I can live without the apples and fennel, but that's me), cooked perfectly and flavorful. Dani ordered the mac and cheese with crab meat, which she loved. It was too salty for me. But i loved the spinach (?) side dish! Dave had the fillet mignon satay with plantains. The plantains were fine; i don't eat red meat; but Dave loved the satay. He looked at the dessert menu. Last time we eat at Visions he got the chocolote creme brule, which turned out to be a little weird. Our guess was that it's hard to make the crust when the chocolat is so dark. Anyhow he got the terrimisso, tonight, which we all liked, even Dani, who doesn't like terimisoo. Thanks ChefTony for a lovely evening.
